INJAZ Bahrain says Thank you to supporters


(MENAFNEditorial) INJAZ Bahrain held its annual appreciation event on Thursday 11th September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at which it recognized the support extended by its stakeholders. The attendance included the volunteers who supported INJAZ Bahrain in the delivery of its programs over the last academic year, board members, strategic partners, staff, and guests of honor.

The event started with a speech from Her Excellency Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Executive Director of INJAZ Bahrain in which she thanked all attendees and sponsors of the appreciation event - BANAGAS, GPIC, Alba, Gulf Air, Bapco and Ithmmar Bank. She then expressed her sincere appreciation to the 607 volunteers for inspiring the youth and sharing with them their business knowledge, experience and know-how, as well as the corporate strategic partners represented who serve on the organization's board.

"INJAZ Bahrain owes a great deal of its sustained growth and tremendous achievements to the contributions of all our partners and supporters," Sheikha Hessa said. "Over the previous academic year, INJAZ Bahrain's programs reached 17,684 students, including all secondary schools, 90% of intermediate schools, 60% of primary schools, as well as six universities and 5 private schools. This tremendous accomplishment would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers who devoted their time and effort to empower the next generation of Bahrainis to own their economic success through our entrepreneurship, work-readiness and financial literacy based programs."

Shaikha Hessa also shared with the attendees the notable achievements and recognition attained during the year which includes His Majesty the King Recognition Award for the vital and pioneering role INJAZ Bahrain plays in preparing the youth for the work place, Bayan School winning 1st place in the regional competition for "The Company" programme over 14 Arab countries and the visit of HRH Prince Andrew to the winning team, University of Bahrain winning 1st place in "Ripples of Happiness" competition over 20 teams from 5 Arab countries.

Sheikha Hessa also stressed on the important role the Ministry of Education played in facilitating the program implementation in all schools. She also touched on the major milestones of the past years and how the organization enriched the learning experience of students with mentorship, internship and community service opportunities to apply what they learned in the work environment.

Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahry, the Chairman of INJAZ Bahrain Board of Directors said, "Partnering with INJAZ Bahrain and working hand in hand with other private sector companies to instill valuable business knowledge and skills in the youth of Bahrain is a real investment in the future and is an immense source of pride for us all."
The INJAZ Bahrain volunteers of the previous academic year were honored at the event and presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation. Outstanding volunteers who participated in the delivery of a program 3 times or more were also recognized.
