(MENAFNEditorial) The International Business Excellence Awards (IBX Awards), owned by awards specialists, Awards International, has launched in the UAE and have opened for entries for the IBX Awards 2015 which will take place in May next year. The Awards are destined to be a beacon for the UAE providing an unmatched festival of business annually for the foreseeable future with credible and transparent awards and an effective means of accessing best practice in regional and international business.
"It is an honour to launch the IBX Awards in the UAE, which we believe is the ideal place to have an International Awards programme," said Mark Hamill, Managing Director, Awards International. "As there will be many local and international companies involved, we have developed the IBX Awards with the purpose of maximising knowledge-sharing and providing opportunities for doing business across the two days. We see this particular aspect of the IBX Awards as something different from other awards in the market."
New to the Middle East, the IBX Awards invite leading local businesses and ones from across the world to participate and submit their business cases with the aim of becoming category winners. Those participating from the UAE and abroad are asked to demonstrate, both via a written entry and a presentation to judges, that they have delivered tangible improvements with consequent benefits to the organisation.
The Awards differentiates itself from existing awards in the market due to its innovative concept of promoting learning and development by using live open panels in the Finals. With 33 categories available to enter, various organisational initiatives or projects from companies large and small can be entered. The categories, endorsed by Cranfield University School of Management (A Top 20 Global Business School), focus on four main sections which are sector specific, discipline specific, people and towards expo 2020.
"By 2021 the IBX Awards will be the ultimate accolade for businesses and their leaders around the world to enter and win. It is our mission to recognize excellence in business practice and to create detailed case studies to be used as examples of best practice in different sectors and international management disciplines – to a global audience and to directly encourage our global attendees to do business while they are in the UAE," added Mark.
The two day Finals and Awards Ceremony, which will be considered a high value for time event for senior international and regional business men and women to learn about other practice and to network and meet with peers and leaders from the UAE, is scheduled for 20 and 21st May 2015. The Finals on 20 -21 May will see 33 finalist panels during which judges will hear each applicants' case study while round table discussions will carry on through the day. The two days will provide many opportunities to meet with other attendees using the Connect@ the Awards feature. There will also be workshops and round table discussions from partners and sponsors.
Call for entries opened on 14 September 2014 while the last day for entries is scheduled for 13 January 2015. The shortlisted participants will be announced by the judges on 19 January 2015 which will be followed by the call for attendees and panel judges on 20 January 2015. Awards International will release the schedule on 01 April 2015 and interested parties can block 20 and 21 May 2015 for the Finals and 21 May 2015 for the Awards Ceremony.
