Record orders cause iPhone 6 Plus shipments delay

(MENAFN) Shipments of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus may be late for three to four weeks, after a record number of orders for the company's latest release strained supplies, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The new iPhone 6 Plus was scheduled to go on sale on September 19th in the US, but the company began taking online orders on September 11th, Apple's website showed.

"Response to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has been incredible, with a record number of pre-orders overnight, which are currently available online or through the Apple Store App," spokeswoman said.
