(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Australian stocks have ended the week on a negative note with banking counters pulling the ASX200 down 15 points, or 0.3%, to 5,531.1.
U.S. stocks were mixed as a rebound in oil producers outstripped worries about mounting geopolitical tension and the timing of possible interest-rate increases.
The Dow Jones slipped 0.12% to 17,049 while the NASDAQ added 0.12% to 4,592.
Iron ore for immediate delivery to China's Tianjin port dropped 0.4% to $US81.90 on Thursday.
TZ Limited (ASX:TZL) is up 12.5% to $0.135 after securing a purchase order for its Infrastructure Protection division from a major European multinational banking and financial services corporation.
This could lead to further orders from the financial services sector seeking to secure and protect IT assets in line with new guidelines from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Shares in Millennium Minerals (ASX:MOY) rose 1.1% to $0.092 after achieving its production target of 36,551 ounces of gold for the 6 months to 30 June 2014.
Revenues for the half-year were A$55.3 million with cash operating margins of $386 per ounce.
Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) is up 1.21% to $0.42. The company has appointed executive director operations Luke Tonkin as its managing director with effect from 20 November 2014.
Bauxite Resources (ASX:BAU) rose 17.39% to $0.135, Gunson Resources (ASX:GUN) up 10% to $0.022, Queensland Bauxite (ASX:QBL) up 19.05% to $0.025 and Vantage Goldfields (ASX:VGO) rose 11.11% to $0.03.
