(MENAFN- QNA) Deputy Chairman of Hamas' Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stressed that there would be no direct negotiations with the Israeli occupation authorities, calling for a reconsideration of the negotiations continuing for more than 20 years.
In remarks to reporters in Gaza today, Haniyeh stressed that weapons of the resistance could not be swapped for reconstruction, explaining that the resistance weapons were legal and will remain so until the liberation of Palestine.
However, Haniyeh underlined the need for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, but should not be entered into "the gates of political blackmail", calling on the media to show the suffering of the Palestinian people and the necessity of reconstruction.
