Bulgaria's exports surge more than imports in 2013


(MENAFN) According to data published by the National Statistical Institute (NSI), Bulgaria's exports grew more than imports in 2013, but the foreign trade balance was negative, Xinhua reported.

The data showed that in 2013 the value of exported goods amounted to USD28.8 billion, while compared to the year 2012, the exports increased by 7.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the imported goods in 2013 were valued at USD33.4 billion which meant an increase of 1.4 percent compared to the previous year, NSI released data showed.

On the other hand, the negative foreign trade balance stood at USD1.5 billion, which is less than the balance which was registered during the year of 2012, NSI added.
