(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Seoul September 12 (QNA) - South Korea and the United States plan to hold high-level talks next week to discuss when and under what conditions to transfer wartime control of South Korean troops from Washington to Seoul Yonhap News Agency reported Friday. During the sixth round of the senior-level Korea-US Integrated Defense Dialogue (KIDD) slated for Tuesday in Seoul the allies are scheduled "to discuss proper conditions and the timeframe for the transfer" the Defense Ministry said in a statement. "South Korea and the US will discuss ways to effectively implement and further strengthen combined deterrence and defense capabilities amid ongoing nuclear and missile aggression from North Korea" it said.
