Qatar- Chance for Al Khor to redeem themselves in round three

(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  Al Ahli will face Al Khor at the Grand Hamad Stadium today at 8:15pm in the evening.

Al Khor has so far conceded six goals and scored only one in the first two rounds of the Qatar Stars League.

At yesterday's pre-match press conference, Al Khor's Romanian head coach Laszlo Boloni felt that tough fixtures had made their start difficult but now time was on their side.

"Like all teams we used the break to analyse the games and try to make some corrections in training," he said.

Al Khor's striker Julio Cesar said the team must keep their focus and discipline.

"We keep our way of playing and stick to our tasks properly, we will do our maximum to win and we are very hungry to get our first win."

Boloni was also asked about striker William who will be out of action for two months due to a serious knee injury. "William is continuing his treatment and we are sad for him. Now the (club) President has a hard job on his hands, the transfer window closes on the September 22 and we need a top player to help us this season," Boloni said.

"This year they changed the rules regarding foreign players so things are tougher this season," he said.

Al Ahli's Milan Macala spoke about how the team must not get carried away by their good start to the season.

"As you know during this break the national teams were in action and so we played a friendly. However, we lost against Al Sailiya but I think this is a good thing that has woken us up and made us realise that we still have a long way to go," Macala said.
