Emirates to start second Dar es Salaam service


(MENAFN) Emirates airline announced the launch of its second service to Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania, starting from October 26th, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The new five times a week service will be operated with an Emirates A330-200, in a three class configuration, a total of 2.370 seats and up to 170 tons of cargo capacity a week on the route.

The new frequency is expected to boost trade between Tanzania and various markets around Emirates SkyCargo's global network. Tanzania is a known exporter of f fresh, frozen and chilled fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood, as well as household goods, jewelry, dry foods and automotive spare parts,.

"Dar-es-Salaam is an important destination in our east African network and now it will become the second destination in east Africa, after Nairobi, to have more than a daily frequency," Emirates Senior Vice-President said.
