Air France- KLM to raise its earnings 10 percent by 2017


(MENAFN) Air France-KLM announced it is planning to increase its earnings by up to 10 percent a year through 2017, Gulf Daily News reported.

Europe's second-largest network carrier is currently facing many threats from other low-cost rivals, both from Europe and the Gulf but it is plnning through its new plan to deliver USD1.3b in savings a year.

The new plan is going to focus on further reducing in unit costs of 1-1.5 percent a year, as well as making new investments and a plan to expand low-cost unit Transavia.

Air France-KLM also said it is going to invest in improved products and services for long-haul networks and boost the performance of its hubs, while renovating its short- and medium-haul operations.
