S. Korea China Japan's Vice Foreign Ministers to Meet Thursday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Seoul September 11 (QNA) - South Korea China and Japan will hold high-level talks on Thursday in Seoul. South Korea's Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Kyung-soo Japan's Deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke Sugiyama and Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin will represent their countries at the talks according to Korea's (KBS WORLD). The last time the three countries held such a high-level meeting was in November of last year. The officials will focus discussions on ways to cooperate in the areas of economy culture and human exchanges. They will also extensively discuss the prospect of a trilateral summit and foreign minister-level dialogues. A Foreign Ministry official in Seoul said South Korea will focus on promoting multilateral cooperation with China and Japan at Thursday’s talks. The official said bilateral talks between South Korea and Japan as well as between China and Japan could also take place. (QNA)
