Qatar Exchange Index Up 102.84 Points This Week


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchange index gained 102.84 points (0.74%), this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 14,088.82 points.

Trading value during this week increased by 6.49% to reach QR 3,676,872,219.69 compared to QR 3,452,843,266.24 last week.

Trading volume increased by 21.47% to reach 83,285,786 shares compared to last week's 68,567,539. The number of transactions rose by 10.63% to reach 35,532 transactions as compared to 32,119 transactions one week earlier.

Market capitalization rose by 0.68% to reach QR 747,640,597,915.05 as compared to QR 742,617,992,090.59 at the end of the previous week.

Banks and financial services sector led traded value week with 34.68% of the total traded value. Real estate sector accounted for 22.60%. The industrials sector ranked third accounted for 17.59% and consumer goods and services sector accounted for 9.53%.

Real estate sector led traded volume this week with 40.36% of the total traded volume. Banks and financial services sector accounted for 21.21%. Telecoms sector ranked third, accounted for 10.81% and consumer goods and services sector accounted for 9.86%.

As for traded number of transactions, banks and financial services sector was in front with 28.35% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 24.15%. Real estate sector ranked third as it accounted for 23.79%, and consumer goods and services accounted for 9.05%.

Of the 43 listed companies, 27 ended this week higher, 13 fell and three remained unchanged.

Ezdan Holding Group led traded value this week accounting for 10.55% of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 9.53% and Industries Qatar 6.74%.
