D&S Oman unit sign USD45.7m in contracts


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Drake & Scull International announced that its Oman unit has signed 4 contracts, with a worth of USD45.7 million in the sultanate, Arabian Business reported.

With the announcement of these deals, the company announced that it has secured project amounting in worth to USD1.25 billion so far in 2014.

The first agreement states that Drake & Scull Engineering (DSE) Oman will provide services for a government facility in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, which the company already began working on and which is scheduled to be done in 2015.

Under the second contract, DSE Oman will also undertake complete MEP works for a government complex in Nizwa. The project is spread over an area of 36,452 square meters, and is scheduled for completion in 2016.

In addition, DSE Oman will deliver MEP services for an unnamed leisure and tourism project in the sultanate under the third contract, while the fourth contract will see DSE Oman extend its MEP services for upgrading core systems at a major oil refinery.
