Qatar Airways Cargo to launch Shanghai, Brussels routes

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways Cargo announced the launch of two new freighter destinations to Brussels in Belgium and Shanghai in China, Arabian Business reported.

The Brussels freighter route will be served four times weekly by an Airbus A330F freighter, starting October 1, while a three-times a week non-stop service will operate on the Doha-Shanghai-Doha route beginning October 2.

Major exports from Belgium are pharmaceuticals, perishables, optical, technical and medical apparatus, chocolates, and mineral fuels, including oil, precious stones, pearls and metals, while major industries in Shanghai are the retail industry and heavy industries such as steel-making and auto manufacture, high-tech and electronics.

"We are delighted to launch freighter services to these two important cities. The new Qatar Airways Cargo services will create exciting opportunities for businesses, especially in the pharmaceutical industry in both these countries," Qatar Airways chief officer cargo said.
