Kuwait- 2,750 students participate in MGRP's summer training course

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) celebrated the graduation of its ninth summer 2014 training course at its headquarters on Wednesday.

MGRP's Secretary General Fawzy Al-Majdaly expressed his joy over the "distinguished, successful and unique experiment" which, he said, helped graduates find jobs in the private sector.

"The MGRP launched this training course to support Kuwaiti youths and implement the instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who continues to back them at all levels," Al-Majdaly said.

Al-Majdaly expressed his pride that the UN honored His Highness the Amir as a 'humanitarian leader' and Kuwait as a 'humanitarian center' at the UN headquarters in New York Tuesday night.

He said that about 2,750 students, from different educational institutions, participated in the 2014 summer training course, adding the total number of trainees since 2004 reached at least 8,000.

"The MGRP has exerted a lot of efforts in order to change prevailing concepts of graduates on working in the private sector," he said.

This move was made successful by the organizing of exhibitions, forums and media campaigns targetting the youth, he added.
