Bahrain's BAS, SITA sign a key deal

(MENAFN) Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) announced selecting SITA, the air transport IT specialist, to automate staff allocation at Bahrain International Airport in a deal which will last five years, Gulf Daily News reported.

SITA said its resource management system will help the ground handler achieve increased efficiency and productivity of airport staff.

Thus, SAT is set to provide BAS with a complete end-to-end solution that connects employees on the move and their mobile devices with back office systems. This system will ensure the ground handler can make decisions as needs change for more effective use of resources.

"We now have a powerful, real-time planning tool, which gives us the intelligence to schedule and dispatch all our employees at the airport and make sure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time in a constantly changing environment," BAS acting chief executive said.
