Tunisian President to Visit Italy Tomorrow


(MENAFN- QNA) Interim Tunisian President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki will embark tomorrow on a two-day official visit to Italy at the invitation of Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, it was announced here today.

The Tunisian Presidency said in a statement today that President Marzouki will meet during the visit with the Italian President, Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Senate and the Prime Minister.

The statement added that the meetings will address relations of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and prospects for their support and development, as well as regional and international issues of common interest.

It pointed out that the Interim Tunisian President will pay on Thursday a visit to the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis.
