(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchange (QE) index gained 77.7 points (+0.56%) Tuesday when trading closed at 14,046.61 points.
The volume of shares was up to 18,429,905 from Monday's 17,797,867 and the value of shares increased to QR 797,309,597.80 from QR 781,334,673.66.
Among the top gainers were Commercial bank of Qatar whose share up 0.13% to QR 74.70, United Dev. Company increased 1.62% to QR 29.60, Salam International rose0.44% to QR 20.45 and Vodafone Qatar gained by 2.56% to QR 22.00.
Banks and finance sector continued its good run today. Its index was up 0.04% to 3,452.5 points. Insurance sector also continued its good run. Its index was up +0.92% to 4,164.19 points.
Today shares of 42 companies were traded from the 43 listed on QE. From these, 25 advanced, 11 dropped and six remained unchanged.
