Australia's All Ords up as miners rise


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia)  Australian stocks have risen today with miners pulling the All Ords up 29.7 points, or 0.5%, to 5,608.6. The materials Index is up 1% to 9,871.8 points.

The benchmark iron ore spot price was at least not falling and was at $US83.60 a tonne. Many Chinese investors were away for the mid-autumn festival.

Meanwhile, the China Shanghai Index snapped a winning streak of the biggest weekly gain in 19 months as profit taking crept in as doubts surfaced as to the reasons behind the gains.

Regeneus (ASX:RGS) is up 3.57% to $0.29 after shareholders oversubscribed for its SPP by 10%, raising a further $300,000 to add to the $3,000,000.

This is in addition to the earlier $3,000,000 placement to institutional and sophisticated investors. Funds raised will accelerate development of its cancer vaccines as well as off-the-shelf stem cell therapy for human osteoarthritis.
