Kuwait- Sheikha Aida: UN honoring of His Highness Amir historic


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Chairperson of Board of Trustees of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah's Informatics Award, Sheikha Aida Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, said Monday UN honoring of His Highness the Amir is considered "a turning point in the organization (UN) history." In a press release, Sheikha Aida said naming His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber al-Sabah as a Humanitarian Leader is a well-deserved culmination of his continuous efforts in supporting and aiding people in need around the world, through embracing many of the initiatives and conferences that brought together a number of countries from around the world to aid people suffering from various regions of the world.

She noted that naming His Highness the Amir is now registered in human history as the leader of humanitarian work which mesmerized the world through his wise leadership in dealing with the most difficult crises facing humanity, thus boosting global solidarity.

She also explained that the naming of Kuwait as a Humanitarian Center brings more responsibility in continuing its leading humanitarian role globally.

She added that what distinguishes Kuwaiti humanitarian work was its transparency and concentration on development projects and relief efforts in many countries.

Sheikha Aida confirmed that His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Awards is keen to engage in realizing aspirations of His Highness the Amir through a comprehensive revitalization in all vital areas and through focus their efforts to achieve Kuwait's leadership in the field of technology and informatics.
