Australia GDP up 0.52 in Second Quarter of 2014


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Sydney September 03 (QNA) - Australia’s gross domestic product rose more-than-expected in the second quarter of 2014 as the economy shows signs of recovery in recent weeks official data showed Wednesday. Australia's growth came in at 0.5% according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics compared to the expectations of an 0.4% increase. The first quarter saw Australia's economy grow by 1.1%. Year-on-year the GDP grew 3.1% better than the expected 3.0% growth. (QNA)
