Iran Italy Foreign Ministers Set to Talk in Rome


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Rome September 03 (QNA) - Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to meet with his Italian counterpart Federica Mogherini in Italy on Wednesday. The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived arrived in Italy today upon the invitaion of his Italian counterpart to discuss issues of mutual interest such as Iran's nuclear program and regional developments Iranian News Agency IRNA reported. The Italy visit is part of a three-nation Euro tour that Zarif and his accompanying delegation startedMonday. They arrived in Belgian capital city Brussels early Monday morning for talks with EU outgoing foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. They had a working lunch during which they evaluated the process of the negotiations to achieve an agreement on ways of advancing nuclear negotiations. In the second leg of the tour the Iranian foreign minister held talks with his counterpart as well as prime minister in Luxemburg. During the meetings Zarif stressed the need for the international community to work together to combine efforts to do away with radicalism and terrorism. (QNA)
