Inaugural New York Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference 2014

The entire security community of the NY/NJ metropolitan area is joining forces to assemble what we expect will be a premier Cybersecurity Conference on Oct. 7 2014. The purpose of this educational conference is to heighten cybersecurity awareness and keeping with the National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October.

September 8th 2014 – The New York Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference (NYMJCSC) will hold its inaugural annual cyber security conference at St Francis College Brooklyn NY on October 7th 2014. The New York Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference is the first collaborative event cooperatively developed organized and sponsored by the local chapters of the leading information security industry organizations – ISACA ISSA (ISC)² InfraGard OWASP and the Cloud Security Alliance.

This joint conference has the additional advantage from the relationship with the FBI and National Security Council. Keynote speakers Leo Taddeo Special Agent in Charge FBI NY Cyber Crime Division; and Nathaniel Gleicher Director for Cybersecurity on the National Security Council will lead discussions on emerging trends in cybersecurity. Real world threats landscapes and techniques will be presented in both a local and global climate that result in actionable intelligence.

Driven by the collaboration between members of this coalition the strength of organizational membership the provision of desirable CPE credits and the concurrence of National Cyber Security Awareness Month – the NYMJCSC promises to be a well-attended event by members of the information technology information security audit academic and business communities.
