EIB Signs EUR 40 million Loan Agreement with BTK


(MENAFN- QNA) - The European Investment Bank (EIB), the Tunisian-Kuwaiti Bank (BTK) and the Tunis Entreprendre Network signed here today a framework partnership agreement to finance Tunisian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and very small enterprises (VSEs) worth 40 million euros.

The General Manager of BTK Houssein Mouelhi said that the EIB has granted a EUR 20 million loan and BTK will allocate a EUR 20 million for the interest of SMEs.

Mouelhi pointed out that 10 % of these funds will be allocated for interest of VSEs which will be benefited from the interest rate differential.

Philippe de Fontaine Vive ,Vice-President of the EIB noted that the agreement will allow the EIB and Tunisian institutions to exchange experiences.
