Limitless awards USD5.30m contract in its Jebel Ali project


(MENAFN) Limitless, the Dubai-based master developer, has awarded a contract for infrastructure design and supervision services at Downtown Jebel Ali, its 200-hectare project, worth USD5.30 million, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The contract has been given to Dar Al Handasah to review and enhance the existing infrastructure design and to oversee infrastructure construction, the company's work will cover zones 2, 3 and 4, since infrastructure in zone 1 is already complete, and with the work expected to be done by the end of 2014.

Downtown Jebel Ali, with its expected cost to reach USD19.05 billion, is expected to cover more than 6.5 million square meters, with its four zones. Within each zone are three different districts: the Urban Centre which will be a vibrant business and entertainment hub, the Trellis District with a design of mid-rise buildings, shaded sidewalks, parks and plazas, and the Medina, with Arabian-inspired courtyards and quiet cobbled streets.
