Oman's inflation rate up by 0.63 percent in July


(MENAFN) Oman's annual inflation rate increased by 0.63 percent in July, as well as rising by 0.25 percent compared to the same month last year, Muscat Daily reported.

In terms of sectors, prices in housing and utility, including water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel rose by 1.39 percent, education costs up by 6.27, while healthcare soared by 5.72 percent.

Meanwhile, furniture, household items and regular maintenance were up by 7.28 per cent, and restaurants and hotels rose by 0.88 per cent.

However, prices declined in the food sector by 0.03 percent and by 0.07 in the clothes and footwear sector.
