German FM Starts Visit to India


(MENAFN- QNA) German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier started today a two-day visit to India.

At the outset of the visit the German Foreign Minister met with some Indian scientists and representative of the Indian economy in the capital New Delhi.

On Monday, Steinmeier will start political talks as he will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Besides bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the talks could also deal with hot beds of tension in the world such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Ukraine.

Yesterday, he German Foreign Minister visited Afghanistan and held talks with rival presidential candidates Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah and met with outgoing President Hamid Karzai.
