Afghani Security Operation Kills 19 Taliban Militants


(MENAFN- QNA) At least 19 Taliban militants were killed and five others were injured following military operations by Afghan national security forces.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the operations were conducted over the past 24 hours by Afghan National Police (ANP) forces in cooperation with the Afghan National Army to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Baghlan, Laghman and Helmand provinces, as a result 19 armed Taliban members were killed and five others were wounded, according to the Afgan Khaama Press. Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition during the operations, the statement added.
