(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar's Junior Handball team began their campaign in the Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship 2014 with a convincing 24-21 victory over Saudi Arabia counterparts in Group A clash held in Amman, Jordan on Saturday.
In Saturday's encounter, Qatar juniors displayed impressive performance, beating Saudi Arabia to end the match 24-21, as they will lock horns against Iran in the second match on Sunday.
Qatar junior handball squad were pooled in group A along with KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iran, while group B includes Japan, South Korea, Iraq and hosts Jordan.
The championship serves as a qualifying tournament for World Junior Championships in Russia 2015.
