France's jobless rate stable at 9.7 percent in Q2


(MENAFN) According to a report by The National Statistics Institute (INSEE), France's jobless rate remained stable in the metropolitan areas at 9.7 percent in the April-June period compared with the first quarter of this year, KUNA reported.

However, the rate increased to 10.2 percent in rural areas and territories, thus amounting to France now having over 3.4 million people seeking jobs,

The number of unemployed in the country has been gradually rising in the past year and has increased every month, with the exception of only one month.
