Saudi- STC unique number auction on Tuesday
(MENAFN- Arab News) The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) will auction unique mobile numbers in Riyadh on Sept. 9.
The program will be held at the Riyadh Ritz Carlton Hotel. Registration starts at 4 p.m. The auction is to be held after Isha prayers.
According to an STC official 64 special numbers have been classified into diamond gold and silver categories.
He said the auction is open to members of the public over the age of 15.
He noted that the STC has not targeted a specified sum in this campaign.
'The more the merrier' he said.
In addition the official pointed out that there is no minimum bidding amount.
Participants must take part in the auction in person or give someone else a power of attorney. To take part in the auction candidates must pay a deposit specified for each mobile number category to bank account 70114400875 or IBAN number SA56555000000070114400875 at the Saudi Fransi Bank.
A copy of the deposit receipt needs to be shown to registration staff at the auction hall.
In the alternative a certified check can be issued.
Deposits or certified checks are only valid for a single number.
