Iceland posts trade surplus of USD55.4m in August


(MENAFN) According to Statistics Iceland, the island posted an increase of its balance trade surplus of USD55.4 million in August from a deficit of USD10 million in July, Xinhua reported.

The value of exported goods totaled USD419.7 million, while the value of imported goods amounted to USD364.3 million in August, Statistics Iceland said in a press release.

Compared to the previous month of July, exported value and imported value showed a decrease of USD21.8 million and USD86.7 million, respectively, figures showed.
