(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The bugles have sounded and the hunt is on for the Spicy Village 'Star Chef' 2014. Food lovers from all corners of Oman will converge on November 21 to soak up the tricks and cooking talents.
The challenge is to experiment with new ingredients and to create new dishes that make an impact. Qualified applicants must pass a rigorous selection process. The semi-finalists will enter a competition round of cooking and the finalists will be judged by celebrity Indian Chef Sanjeev Kapoor who will personally be present to choose the winner and hand over a host of attractive prizes.
Those interested in participating are requested to send in their best recipes in Indian Chinese Arabic and Continental cuisines to Spicy Village restaurant before September 28. The challenge recognises the importance of cooking at home.
Speaking about the competition Arun S Jayakaran from Spicy Village said 'The battle of the chefs will be a delight and it will witness intense competition among the cooking experts tossing their own recipes at home. We expect a strong response and we look forward to hosting diverse talents from across Oman. Oman has a multitude of cultures and it is brimming with young talent. We are really looking forward to seeing what the participants bring to the table this time as we search for the best chefs in the country.
