(MENAFN- QNA) German Chancellor Angela Merkel ruled out changes to agreements between NATO and Russia on the back of the crisis in Ukraine, but said measures will be considered regarding calls from Baltic countries for NATO to be more responsive in the region.
"The NATO summit will decide on a series of measures," Merkel said, to increase NATO's responsiveness, including in the Baltic area, which borders Russia, the German DPA news agency reported. The military alliance holds an emergency meeting Thursday in Wales to discuss the Ukraine crisis.
