(MENAFN- QNA) Security sources reported Wednesday that the Lebanese army clashed Yesterday night with a group of arms smugglers in Rachaiya area near Syrian borders, east of Lebanon.
A Lebanese army patrol shadowed a group of smugglers in the area Smoukh, between the valley Rashayya and Aiha, at the western slopes of Jabal Al-Shaykh and clashed with machine-gun fire.
Moreover, the sources said that the group fled the mountainous region and the army adjusted a large quantity of ammunition and automatic weapons which were deposited by smugglers at a specific point.
