Saudi Arabia approves USD1.33b airport projects


(MENAFN) The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has permitted a number of airport development projects across Saudi Arabia, which worth would reach around USD1.33 billion, Saudi Gazette reported.

These projects will include the establishment of King Abdullah Airport in Jazan, the development of Arar airport, maintenance and operation of air navigation equipment and systems at various airports.

They will also include operation, maintenance and cleaning works at Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport and King Fahd International Airport of Dammam.

GACA said that approving these projects shows the government's focus on supporting the important aviation sector as well as its interest in assisting the economic and social development that is being done in various places around the Kingdom.
