Jordan Foreign Minister, US Delegation Discuss Middle East Issues


(MENAFN- QNA) Jordan Foreign Minister Nasser Joudeh met here on Tuesday with delegation of US congressional aides, who are currently visiting Jordan.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and current developments in the Middle East, especially the Palestine issues, Jordan news agency (Petra) reported.

The Minister spoke about the aftermath of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip, noting that Jordan had welcomed a ceasefire that ended the seven-week war.

He stressed the need to speed up the entry of humanitarian relief aid and reconstruction materials into Gaza, pledging that Jordan would provide all possible help for that purpose.

The meeting also tackled the situation in Syria and the need to reach a political settlement that guarantees the country's security and territorial integrity with the participation of all segments of Syrian people.
