A Jordanian woman employee 26 said she made sure her relationship with the defendant was purely professional. “Our communication was only professional. He was a manager in the company where I work in Silicon Oasis. He would call for meetings and I would attend.”

She alleged that he would always drag her into inappropriate personal conversations while she tried to avoid him.

“Once I yelled at him over the phone at work and when I walked into his office later he pulled me by my hand and tried to get me close to him.”

Another Jordanian employee 27 also said the manager would always smell her and flirt with her.

“Once he dragged me into the storage room and would not let me go until I threatened him that I would scream so that all staff could hear me.”

A third employee also Jordanian 27 also made similar allegations and said the manager tried to blackmail her by all means so that he could have sex with her.

“He would tell me to sit on his lap and promise me a salary hike. Sometimes he would invite me to a hotel or dinner” she said.

The three women told the prosecutor that they had been reluctant to voice their complaints for fear of losing their jobs. They were only encouraged to come forward when they learnt that they were facing similar problems.
