Russia's Reserve Funds Grow


(MENAFN- QNA) Russia's Reserve Fund, which protects the budget against falls in oil prices, increased by 292.13 billion rubles in August to 3.387.34 trillion rubles as of Monday, Russia's Finance Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The National Wealth Fund, designed to secure the country's pension system, rose by 61.71 billion rubles to 3.151 trillion rubles as of Monday, according to Russia's (Itar-Tass) News Agency.

The reserve fund amounted to $91.72 billion, and the wealth fund to $85.31 billion as of September 1.
