Russia will not Intervene Militarily in Ukraine FM Says


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Moscow September 01 (QNA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday that Russia will not intervene militarily in the Ukrainian crisis. Addressing Moscow University students Lavrov said that the plans Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had to end the crisis is by annihilating the fighters in the East of Ukraine. Lavrov stressed that the Ukrainian authority must look to hold negotiations rather than demand that fighters in Eastern Ukraine drop their weapons. The United Nations say that more than 2500 people were killed and 6000 others injured since the beginning of military operations by Ukrainian authorities in Eastern Ukraine against pro-Russia separatists.
