China Stocks Surge on Tuesday


(MENAFN- QNA) Chinese shares rose substantially on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.37 percent to close at 2,266.05 points.

According to China's (Xinhua) News Agency, the Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.29 percent to close at 8,043.31 points.

European stocks also rose on Tuesday, on the back of positive Spanish employment data. During European morning trade, the DJ Euro Stoxx 50 gained 0.48%, France’s CAC 40 rose 0.31%, while Germany’s DAX climbed 0.68%.

Official data in Spain showed that number of unemployed people in Spain rose by 8,100 in August, below expectations of an increase of 26,000.
