Arab Foreign Ministers Consultative Meeting Cancelled


(MENAFN- QNA) The consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, which was scheduled to take place next Saturday at the ministerial level on the eve of the 142nd session of the Arab League Council which will be held on September 7, has been cancelled due to prior engagements of a number of Arab foreign ministers, an official Arab diplomatic source said.

The source pointed out that a consultative meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates will be held to discuss the draft agenda of the Council's 142nd session and the challenges of joint Arab action.

The Arab League Council's 142nd session is scheduled to discuss the current developments in the region, foremost of which being the Syrian crisis, the situation in Libya and Yemen, promotion of the joint Arab cooperation and modernization of the Arab League institutions.
