(MENAFN) Commercial laundry company Berendsen Plc posted a net profit increase of 8 percent in the January-June period as cost cuts and efforts to boost productivity take effect, Oman Observer reported.
In the first six months, Berendsen made a number of investments to improve operations, along with signing up gaining contracts amid a slump in consumer spending that hurt business for its clients.
"We still see opportunity to not only improve our operational performance, but also the margin in some of the company's (markets) where we are doing less well than our best practice countries," CEO said.
