China Easter Airlines profits dip 97.76 percent in H1

(MENAFN) China Easter Airlines, a country's leading carrier, posted a decline of its net profit in the January-June period of 2014, dipping 97.76 percent on-year, Xinhua reported.

The cargo's net profit stood at USD2.28 million in the period, while the registered revenue reached USD6.9 billion, the company said in a statement it filled to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The freight attributed the poor performance to what it called "geopolitical instability, fewer high-end business travelers, and more convenient high-speed railway services."
