(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Lifeline Hospital LLC recently organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) seminar under the patronage of the Ministry of Health (MoH) Department of Communicable Disease Surveillance and Control at the City Seasons Hotel in Al Khuwayr. The CME was addressed by special guest speaker “ Dr Shyam Bawikar from the MoH and was presided over by Lifeline Hospital's CEO (Oman) Retnakumar Janardanan.

Whilst welcoming the doctors to the CME Janardanan emphasised on the need of CMEs to update the medical fraternity with the latest advancements in the medical field around the globe. He also highlighted Lifeline Hospital's commitment in organising such events and spoke at length about 'Lifeline Meditrain' a specially devised CSR initiative by the hospital that aims at conducting periodic CMEs to keep medical professionals in the sultanate abreast with the latest happenings in the medical field.

Dr Bawikar highlighted the latest methods of treating Ebola and CCHF (Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers) and focused on the need for early action on the part of referring doctors to save lives. He also gave a presentation on  CCHF which also discussed the latest techniques in protecting the onslaught of Ebola and gave examples of some of the cases being treated in hospitals and medical facilities around the world.

Attended by over 100 doctors from various hospitals and medical facilities across the sultanate the evening came to a close with a vote of thanks by Vidya Rani Business Relations manager Lifeline Hospital.
