(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Brussels August 31 (QNA) - European Union (EU) Summit in Brussels chose Poland Prime Minister Donald Tusk as the President of the EU Council to succeed Herman Van Rompuy. The EU leaders also named Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini who is 41 as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs to succeed Catherine Ashton. Tusk 57 will serve for two-and-a-half years (renewable) starting on 1 December and Mogherini's term starting on 1 November is five years. (QNA)
