Kuwait junior squad qualifies for Arab table tennis finals


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwait junior men's squad has been qualified to play in finals at 24th Arab Table Tennis Championship in Jordan, after defeating Iraq 3-1.

The Kuwaiti team has achieved impressive results in this tournament, the Technical Director of the Team, Khalifa Jali, told KUNA in a statement on Saturday.

He expressed strong hopes the Kuwaiti juniors would win the gold medal after tomorrow's match with Qatar.

On Friday, the Kuwaiti juniors came second after losing against Egypt, 3-1.

The junior squad members include Othman Al-Sowailim, Mohammad Dahrab, Abdallah Baroun and Mohammad Al-Khalil.

The 24th Arab Table Tennis Championship, grouping the teams of Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Lebanon and Palestine, will conclude on Sunday.
