(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite Saturday said the situation in Ukraine is worsening and called on Europe to help Ukraine fight Russia.
"The situation is worsening, there is open and direct engagement by Russia. Russia is in a state of war against Ukraine, a country that would like to be closely integrated with Europe. Practically Russia is in state of war with Europe," she told reporters as she arrived for a special meeting of EU leaders.
"We need not hide this anymore, we cannot lie to ourselves or listen to the lies of (Russian) President (Vladimir) Putin. We must take actions to help Ukraine fight back against Russia and defend itself; we should send military materials to Ukraine," she added.
