Thousands of protesters march towards house of Pakistan PM


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Thousands of supporters of Pakistan Tehreek e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) marched towards the house of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Saturday to stage a sit-in protest.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said in a statement that the protestors would not be allowed to advance further and the police would stop them.

Despite the hurdles set by the police, the protestors are moving forward and police is now letting the protesters proceed towards PM House.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PAT Chairman Dr. Tahir ul Qadri have announced that their supporters would remain peaceful and will never cause any damage to the democracy. PAT and PTI have been staging a mass sit-in protest over last fortnight in front of the parliament here against the alleged rigging in 2013 general elections.
