Qatari Chinese Preparatory Meeting for Crime Prevention Congress 2015


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beijing August 30 (QNA) - Qatari and Chinese delegations have held a meeting here in preparation for the Thirteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice which will be held in Doha in April 2015. The Qatari Delegation was headed by chairman of the preparatory committee of the Conference Lt. General Dr. Yousef Abdullah Al-Mal while the Chinese side was headed by the Director of the Legislative Department in the Chinese Ministry of Justice. The meeting was attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to China Dr. Sultan Salmeen Al-Mansouri and Dimitri Vlassis the Chief of Corruption and Economic Crime Branch at United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The meeting dealt with the key topics to be addressed during the conference most importantly the integration of crime prevention and criminal justice in the United Nations agenda in order to address social and economic challenges and strengthen the rule of law at both the national and international levels.
